Daniel Fast Granola

Time

  • Cook & Cool: 20-25 min

Ingredients

  • 1 standard cookie sheet
  • 1 sheet of Parchment paper
  • 4 cups of Oats (old fashioned preferred)
  • 4T of Vegetable oil
  • 1/2t organic Maple syrup, Vanilla Extract or Molasses
  • 2/3 cup Raw honey
  • 1/2t Cinnamon
  • 1/2t Cardamom (if left out, double cinnamon)

Optional ingredients

  • 1/3 cup Chopped nuts or Shelled seeds
  • 1/4 cup Dried fruit

Recipe

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F
  2. Mix wet ingredients (honey, oil, & syrup) in a large mixing bowl. Stir til fully blended (should look kinda like wood glue)
  3. Add the rest of the ingredients (except fruit) & mix thoroughly (use your hands for best results)
  4. Pour on parchment paper lined cookie sheet & spread to an even layer.
  5. Bake for 15-20 min,
    1. Halfway through baking, take it out, add fruit, stir & re-spread.
  6. Take it out of the oven & allow it to cool all the way to room temperature.
  7. Break it up into clusters & store in an airtight container.
