Ingredients
- 1 standard cookie sheet
- 1 sheet of Parchment paper
- 4 cups of Oats (old fashioned preferred)
- 4T of Vegetable oil
- 1/2t organic Maple syrup, Vanilla Extract or Molasses
- 2/3 cup Raw honey
- 1/2t Cinnamon
- 1/2t Cardamom (if left out, double cinnamon)
Optional ingredients
- 1/3 cup Chopped nuts or Shelled seeds
- 1/4 cup Dried fruit
Recipe
- Preheat the oven to 350°F
- Mix wet ingredients (honey, oil, & syrup) in a large mixing bowl. Stir til fully blended (should look kinda like wood glue)
- Add the rest of the ingredients (except fruit) & mix thoroughly (use your hands for best results)
- Pour on parchment paper lined cookie sheet & spread to an even layer.
- Bake for 15-20 min,
- Halfway through baking, take it out, add fruit, stir & re-spread.
- Take it out of the oven & allow it to cool all the way to room temperature.
- Break it up into clusters & store in an airtight container.
